This Kashmir born Delhi girl hails from a Sikh, Punjabi speaking family. Her parents are into hospitality. She pursued an academic career and did some modeling assignments side by side. She has a degree in English and wanted to become a journalist but ended up on the other side. Director Shhojit Sarkar spotted her during a Cadbury commercial and signed her on for Adaa. She earned critical and commercial acclaim for Yahaan. Her work in Honeymoon Travels Pvt ltd was well appreciated too. She never thought modeling would lead to acting. She has made Mumbai her new home.
